Maths Transition Course
The Maths Transition Course is a 7-week online programme for students applying for one of our undergraduate courses (in participating subjects), who have achieved GCSE Maths at one grade lower than required.
The programme has been developed by academic staff and our StudyZone team. It is specifically designed to support knowledge and confidence in key areas of Maths linked to first-year undergraduate modules.
Who is this for?
You may be invited to complete this course if you:
- Are categorised as a 'Home' student for tuition fees
- Hold a GCSE Maths grade that is one grade below the specified requirement for the course you have applied for
- Otherwise satisfy all entry requirements for the course you have applied for.
Enrolment on the Maths Transition Course is by invitation only. Applicants who apply to the University of Exeter by the UCAS equal consideration deadline will be considered, and if eligible, will be contacted via email.
The programme will run from February to May, with participants offered places after the UCAS equal consideration date.
Your offer from us
If you are successful in receiving an offer for the programme you applied for, and have confirmed your interest in completing the Maths Transition Course, you will receive a conditional offer from us.
The conditional offer will include successful completion of the Maths Transition Course as part of your offer criteria.
